James Radleigh Obituary

James Radleigh, 88 of Moscow Idaho, passed away peacefully and went home to God on November 1st, 2021 from complications due to COVID-19.

James was born in April of 1933 to Joseph and Katherine Radleigh in Passaic, New Jersey.  After serving in the US Navy as an Electronics Technician for three tours during the Korean War, he had an extensive and lengthy career as a Senor Systems and Electronics Engineer for various aerospace companies such as Bendix, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and even his own company at one point.

In 1954, while James was serving a tour in Italy, he met Maria and were married in the Vatican in January of 1956.  James and Maria went on to have six children, George, Maria Lucia (preceded in death), Mary Lou, John, Robert, and Mark, ten grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving husband of 65 years, father, grandfather and great grandfather; James spent his time fishing, shooting, rock hounding, metal detecting, gold mining, reading, and spending time with his family.  He held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those who surrounded him.

James is survived by his wife, Maria, and five of his children:  George, Mary, John, Robert and Mark.  Private services will be held at Moscow Cemetery later this month.

Flowers can be sent to Shorts Funeral Chapel in Moscow Idaho in James’s name.
