Earl Thomas Britt

Earl Thomas Britt of Potlatch Idaho passed away on 3.16.26 at his daughter’s home in Lynnwood WA.

Earl was born in Missoula MT to Alex and Betty Britt, he was the oldest of three brothers, Rick Britt, Larry Britt, and Roger Britt. Growing up in Missoula Earl enjoyed everything outdoors, which included spending time at his grandfather’s ranch with his brothers, and hunting and fishing. Earl graduated from Hellgate high school and attended college for a brief time, deciding to drop out of college and enlist in the Army. Earl spent time in Vietnam in communications and was immensely proud to serve his country. After leaving the military Earl worked at various Lumber mills around MT, OR, and ID and eventually settled at Bennett Lumber Products in Princeton ID where he retired.

Earl married Dawn Nowling in 1987, and they made Potlatch Idaho their home. Earl has three children from a previous marriage, Sidney of Butte MT, Shelley from Pullman WA and Tammy from Lynnwood WA. Earl has four grandsons, Devin Kenney, Jacob Britt, Michael Kilborn, Nicholas Kilborn and one granddaughter Sonya Romero. Earl loved his family above everything. He enjoyed holidays and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Earl was a wonderful father and grandfather; he is missed by all his family. Earl has entered the eternal rest of heaven with his wife Dawn Britt.
